Compact Monitor and P&O, Cruise to a Cracker of a Start

Under extreme pressure Compact Monitor shone bright, not only managing the initial optimistic schedule of works but managed to handle all the variations with fluency and professionalism.

Compact Monitor Systems where contracted to facilitate significant upgrades to the audio systems in the Main Auditorium, the prestigious “Atlantis Lounge” which was the major refit component of the dry dock and took a total of 3 weeks for 4 technicians to complete.

No stone was left unturned and basically every aspect of the system was analysed and where needed replaced. This was complimented with a brand new 5m projection screen and three Sony remote cameras for Imag and POV references for the audience and backstage/technical staff.

On the Lido/pool deck we installed 6 brand new Large JBL Speakers and 2 huge JBL Subs to create a better audio presence throughout the hole area as this is the main point of interest on the ship where they have a variety of stage shows and themed evenings.

The prestigious Oasis bar on the aft deck received a brand new Audio system for creating a soothing and relaxing environment for the guests to enjoy a beverage or two.

Even the crew bar for the hard working to relax in received a substantial Lighting, Audio and Visual refit.

Other works also involved servicing and repair of existing lighting, electrical services in the main theatre and additions to a variety of Audio Visual applications throughout the many exclusive venues onboard.

Please browse through the variety of images of the dry dock depicting some of the variety of people and services provided.

Compact is currently in the midst of preparing for the next Dry dock of the Pacific Dawn in late May, look forward to the next update.
